Tennant Company Promotes Karla Leis to Vice President of Orbio Technologies Group

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct 18, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC), a world leader in designing, manufacturing and marketing of solutions that help create a cleaner, safer, healthier world, announced the promotion of Karla Leis to vice president of Orbio Technologies Group. Ms. Leis will lead the company's development and marketing of new applications and markets for Tennant Company's water-based cleaning technologies. Orbio Technologies, a Tennant Company Group, is the leading innovator in sustainable technologies that clean, control, or kill harmful microorganisms without the use of traditional chemicals.

Ms. Leis brings 19 plus years of experience in business development, product management and sales management. Karla began her career at Tennant in 2000 and has held several key leadership roles including General Manager of Orbio Technologies Group since its inception in 2009, Director of International Business Development, General Sales Manager of the North America East Division and Director of Product Management.

Prior to Tennant, Karla held various management positions at DataCard Corporation and Cummins Power Generation. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
