Tennant Company Introduces T16 Battery-Powered Rider Scrubber

Jan. 18, 2011

New scrubber offers up to 20 percent reduction in operating costs

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan 18, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC), a leading provider of cleaning technologies designed to create a cleaner, safer, healthier world, today introduces the T16 Battery-Powered Rider Scrubber. Combining Tennant's quality construction and innovative technologies, the T16 helps both industrial and commercial environments achieve a lower cost of ownership while improving productivity and safety.

"The T16 provides BSCs, facility managers, and other industrial and commercial customers a powerhouse scrubber that improves safety, productivity and performance, and delivers value," said Rusty Zay, vice president of Global Marketing with Tennant Company. "The T16 is yet another example of Tennant innovation giving our customers exactly what they want and need to maintain their floors, their image and their bottom line."

Driven by direct customer input, Tennant offers T16 buyers the opportunity to select from among its exclusive innovative technologies to achieve a reduction in operating costs of up to 20 percent compared to traditional scrubbing methods, based on acquisition cost, operating labor, consumables and maintenance. The user-friendly design of the T16 enhances safety with an intuitive Touch-N-Go(TM) control module located in the steering wheel that allows the operator to keep both hands on the wheel while operating the scrubbing functions and provides better operator visibility. Productivity is improved and daily maintenance is simplified with color-highlighted maintenance touch points.

The T16 is a valuable asset for cleaning professionals who work in a wide array of industrial and commercial environments. The T16 is ideal for warehousing and distribution centers, light to heavy manufacturing plants, airports, convention centers and arenas, shopping centers, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and more.

Operating at just 68 dBA--the sound level of normal room conversation--the T16 is one of the quietest scrubbers in the world and allows for unobtrusive around-the-clock cleaning anywhere. The T16 can be equipped with any of Tennant's three proven solution technologies, including ec-H2O(TM) electrically converted water technology, FaST(R) foam-activated scrubbing technology, and/or ES(R) extended scrubbing technology.
